Has the back been painted over? It looks like it could be one of those white 70's Rics that has faded to yellow. Have you checked the serial number?
What is your goal for it? Do you want to make it a player, or a prize to show off, or to resell it for profit?
Whatever you decide to do, congrats!!
Score of the Century! No... of the Millenium! Wait... Of All Time!
Congrats. How's about loading us up with more pics?
Do a thread on everything you have done to it.
I'm sure we'd all be interested. 20 bucks? 20 BUCKS?!!
It is definitely playable. I have been playing around with it for the past hour or two now. I think it needs a bit of an adjustment though. Maybe new strings. The serial number is on the jack plate.
If all you're looking for is an affordable player, then you don't need to refinish it. It looks totally playable as is.
The anime schoolgirl should be the first thing to go. Just sayin'....
It is a '92. I am going to get it re-finished to the original color.Damn that looks pretty much identical parts wise to a '91 ric i had, looks like the sides are original color. If the back is the original paint id seriously try to removed the repaint on the front and keep the original finish it looks like it was just art paint used.
I am on a volkswagen forum and those dudes remove repaints on old cars to get them down to the Original color , literally hundreds of hours to get to OG paint. There are various things you can use to do this.
Who the hell gave a $2k bass to a 12 year old? I suppose it doesn't matter. Congrats!
