Easily my favorite Ric, the rarest of birds, and priced way beyond what I can afford when they randomly show up for sale.....Like the 4003AC, a Ric with somwhat J spacing pickups has "Me" written all over it

Thanks. When I compared the 4002 to a 60's style J-bass, it appears the pickup positions were derived from moving a Jazz bridge up 3/8 inch and the nut moved down 3/8 inches. At least, that is how it is when I held the 4002 up next to a Jazz Bass.
