Well it was but I've just spent the last hour sanding all the black paint and lacquer off the top, I was unhappy about the finish and some areas had started crazing a few minutes after taking this pic. It is now a complete mess and I'll have to take it back to bare wood and start over.![]()
Good advice. I'm going to make sure each coat is well sanded and flat, with a longer cure time before starting on the Rustins lacquer this time.I hate to say this, but maybe you're trying to rush the paint job? I know it's always a good idea to let it sit for a few days at least to let things cure.
No prob, hope you go for a home build too - i can tell you all the things i should have done right...let me know if you need any more dimensions.
