*Ok, not actually a function rig of doom at the moment. I have no idea what the impedance of the Trace cab is (and it has crazy XLR jacks), but the 610HLF is 4 ohms all ready so it's not going to work with the GK... but don't you worry, I have plenty of other amps to work with!

Here's my real rig, and it still sound pretty gosh darn good:

OK I had my buddy help me stack up a couple cabs for a photo. I had to leave two of them off because the stack is 6'6" high and 8'3" wide. The other two cabs are off to the side. This picture is crap because I don't have a wide enough angle lens to get it all in the photo, the Jazz and my kid's BC Rich are in ther cases on the floor in front of the cabs.

This pic shows 4 SVT-810E's and 2 SVT-215E's, the amp rack 4 SVT-4PRO's

After stacking these up like this I decided never to do it again. I felt way too unsure of the stack. Putting another set of cabs on top would be very dangerous.

I will have that rack built I was talking about a while ago and stack the cabs two high standing vertically and 4 wide.

Anyway, I wanted to heat up all the cabs so I put the amps in stereo and hooked each cab to a channel. Way to little power. I will need to go back to an amp per speaker. I did heat the six up today and after about 3 notes the wife was bitching saying the house was too small for the volume.

So I didnt even get a real test. Things were good until she got home from AZ about 11:30 AM.. It was just guy fun before that.

OK so, I definately need MORE amplifiers and a taller ceiling, plus a rack to safely lift the upper set of cabs up.

Sorry I couldnt get the whole amp in the frame.

There's a few movies that really entertain me. Ghostbusters (1), Blues Brothers (1), and Back to the Future (1). I've seen them all so many times that it is almost painful to watch again, but I do.

I have been asked why not a preamp and Serious PA power... Well I will have to do some of that for the subs. This was supposed to be an AMPEG rig, thats about my only answer. The Input rating for this cabinet is 240V 60 amps. Thats the same as 120A of 120V or 40 amps of three phase 208. The system will operate on all three with just a couple wire changes in the FURMAN AS-120 Distro.

There is a bit of headroom as the amplifiers in this rack draw 11,000 watts from the wall. The sub rack will be another 15KW. I pulled a 50 amp 240 circuit to my dining room for testing. There's a slight possibility of overload.

Thanks Bob, love the rig ... have been following it with great interest. Will have to get a shot of the 2 y/o standing next to my combo, closest I've got to a rig of doom (proportionally).

I had a 100 watt Super Lead I used for a while into a Boogie PH 2x15 4 ohm.

I just removed the bright Cab and jumpered both channels balancing them to taste. It was a pretty good sounding Bass Amp.

I needed the money more than I needed the Super Lead so I sold it.

I dont know, its not metered separately. It does blink the lights a little bit though even though its connected direct to the mains on 240V. I really needed to get the circuit pulled I was popping a single 15AMP breaker with a single note. BOB

Well 746 Watts per horsepower. So that would be 14.75 HP input. Doesn't sound very impressive eh? OK lets just say well gee RED thats 14 thousand-twelvehundred horsepower.... That sounds a lot cooler. It's like 1.21 Jiggawatts. BOB
