Rigs of Doom; Part 4

Your rig is pretty killer regardless of what's posted here. An Ampeg SVT6 through Mesa powerhouse cabs is serious business. Saw a bassist with a similar setup a little while ago. He was very loud and sounded awesome.

Thank-you, I am pretty happy with it. It can do some serious hearing damage for sure. I don't run it that loud but the sound that comes out of it is fantastic.

i almost have a rig of doom, so i'll play.

this is a slightly old photo, so the pedal board is totally different and i have the warwick in a rack case now, but...

mesa m9 > mesa ph2x10 = 450w of sonic doom

warwick profet 5.1 > eden n2x10rs = 250w of clean zing

add the two, and things get a bit ridiculous, which is kinda cool...

tbh though, i currently use the mesa rig, and my gf uses the warwick rig for her treble guitar.
but when she isn't home, i sometimes bi-amp for fun...

one day, one day, i know, i know, one day.... i'll add a mesa 4x10 to the 2x10 for 900w of aural mayhem... if you don't this will be loud, i highly suggest you get your hearing checked. ;)

big tip o' the hat to all you mad stack playas... i truly do aspire to be like you someday.

It hasn't been necessary, but I can put together an all vintage Acoustic rig consisting of a 360 preamp, a 361PP powered cabinet, a 370 head, and a 408 cabinet. That would result in four 15" speakers powered by the 370, the 18" w-bin powered by it's own onboard amp, all controlled by the 360 preamp. It is complete overkill for anything I'm ever likely to do. Probably overkill for anything anybody is ever likely to do, but it could be assembled quickly and with back pain.

All in all 980w. Ashdown EB 180w + 800w PA driving those two cabs :)

Well, in real situation i dont use that ashdown 1x15", that was just for show off :D But still, 800w takes up my breath :)

I'm still running an Ampeg SVT-CL into the matching 810. I hope to get my SVT-VR fixed in the new year. If I do, I am very tempted to have it rebuilt by Emperor, than get a matching cab for it. Oh, how amazing it would be. That's doom by default.

In the new year, I would like to build some fEarful cabs to have lots of variety. If I don't, my goal for 2012 is to get a 610 and 215 (either Bergantino or LDS). It will happen. Oh, yes. It will happen.
