Rigs of Doom; Part 4

Here is my contribution..

20130212_211556.jpg

SO do you have one GK hooked up to each pick up, or do you have the GK's chained together, or is it one GK head for each bass? I am not knocking you rig, I just want to know what I am looking at. I see a lot of rigs in this thread with multiple bass heads, and a bass head and a power amp that all look like they are hooked together. If they are all hooked together I just want to know how to do it so I can make one of these monsters of DOOM with multiple cabs and multiple heads & amps.

You don't know?

What you do, is you plug each head into a cab. Then you take the preamp out jack of one head, and hook it to the power amp in jack of the other head. Then you only use the first head for your EQ and such.

Or, if you want different sound from them, you just split your signal and go into the preamp of each head, and each head is hooked to its own cab.

Lakland -> Pedal Board -> Ch1 Euphonic Audio Doubler; NS Design -> Ch 2 EA Doubler. Doubler goes into 2x EA CXL112, Di out into EA iAMP800 -> 2x EA NL-210

Note the two NL-210 have different drivers: The left one has the rev III driver set.

His profile (cabinets have changed since he posted that photo in 2011) indicates:

Stereo bass rig for live shows:
Two Gallien Krueger 700RB-II amplifiers
Two Mesa Powerhouse 212 cabs

And it appears that the Acoustic cabinets (or at least one of them) is still in action:

(Rehearsal rig)
Gallien Krueger 800RB head
Acoustic 106 (2X15)

Not sure how it becomes "stereo" but his profile also shows a bunch of Rickenbacker basses and Ric-O-Sound would require two amps.

Not the biggest rig in the world - but more than enough to part hair in any room in my neck of the woods...

Cheep a** Seismic cab has 2 Eminence Delta 10B's as does the Wizzard. 1x15 with Celestion Pro.

(Yes - that's an Overton Flyweight powering the right side...)
