basically, it's what people who live in small apartments or fellow college students use to practice bass at home, where space/noise restrictions would frown on even a 210!

lets see if it picks up! pics encouraged!

I have been looking at these phones - how do you like them? They get pretty good reviews (sorry for the High Jack).

Practice I use a BDEC 30

Hanging around the kitchen I use the cheap Logitech x240 through an Lenovo Laptop - straight into the mic jack. Sounds really good for little practice rig.

when im in marching band in band camp, i rarley get worked with personally (never as a matter of fact [since im the only bassist there]). so i use THIS that i got from this site, i highly recommend it.

Here's mine... UVic Ring Road dorms. It's an MIJ Fender P through a Kustom KBA 100w 1x15" combo. Got some pedals too... An old Ibanez "Mostortion" (mos for mosfet) which I use for fuzzed out stuff and a Boss Bass Chorus.

You folks all realize that all amps have volume knobs, right? I mean, if need be, any size amp can be turned pretty darned low.

That is, of course, if you're against using headphones and must have an amp.

I have this lil' Crate 10-watt I got with my Squire P-Bass from GC years ago when I was just starting to play. Then I use a Sansamp Para Driver DI. It sounds just fine, really.

I hear ya'. That said, there's some things called stairs, and they can be a little hard to get large amps up and down.

well, yes, of course, but having my 4x10 and rack in my two person dorm room took up far too much space.

mostly, this is for the 10watts of glory guys and the desktop dudes, made for little spaces and little sounds.

just wanted to see the solutions people have come up with.

I use an audigy 2 sound card with the front mount input through my beyer dynamic dt-770s. As far as cans go, they are the most comfortable (worn them for hours, forgot they were even on) and best sounding (hearing music through them for the first time was an eye opening experience) headphones i've ever used. plus they're closed back so they cancel noise without any electronic fidelity crushers
