Very sad.
I first found out who Joe was by reading the liner notes on Carpenter albums.
Then I found out he was on so many other recordings.

Rest In Peace, Joe.

In the early 60's seeing Ricky Nelson and his band at the end of Ozzie and Harriet was the highlight of that show for me. I had no idea at the time I was also seeing Joe Osborn along with James Burton. Travelin' Man was a big favorite of mine when I was a kid. Check out Osborn's influential Bass riff in Nelson's Summertime.
