I wish I knew what Lemmy's first words to Dave were. The video got clipped at that point.

Plugging in the Rick and letting it feedback was pretty cool. I would imagine it got pretty loud in there.

His first words to Dave were "I'm sorry about your friend Kurt."

Watched it on my pc I had with me at the end of our rehearsal. Couldn't watch all of it, but although the people I saw were very sincere at also was so "american". Sounds stupid, but it felt so un-Lemmy to me. I personally thought Paul would talk and then there would be more of a celebration or something in the mold of it. I totally expected a 21 gun salute at a cemetary kind of an open air ceremony not a chapel with grieving people.

Couldn't they just get him stuffed? I'm sure he'd be cool with that .

I was wondering if anyone knew or had a link to info on Lemmy and his choice of Bass (being a Ric). He has inspired me to play a Ric. I love the look and the sound is KILLER!!! Later he had his own (limited run) signature model by Rickenbacker. Just wondering what his story was to play a Ric (besides the obvious good looks and sound). Everyone has a story, right?

While I was in SoCal, for the NAMM Show, I spent a couple of weeks in L.A. The Rainbow is where I hang out when I'm there, and I was really looking forward to hanging with Lem as usual, but his sudden death prevented that. Naturally, I paid my respects at his spot in the Bow, and I visited his grave as well. the Rock world will never be the same. I'm not sure that the facts that I will never talk to him again, never see Motorhead live again, never have a new Motorhead disc to buy again, etc... have truly sunk in...

dude. I hear ya, and you are lucky to have been able to mourn the way you did.

I am dreading the day this happens to any of the members of Rush as well. Knowing that it is truly "the end"..

.What are lucky to have is the music they leave behind...and the legacy.

it is a true eye-opener when the things from your formative years that you always thought would be there start to go. It is reminding me to cherish what I have NOW even more, nd appreciate everything. To not focus on things that are fleeting and petty....
