Ritter Basses - Plain Incredible Wood tops !!

While visiting this website, I recomment people to also check out their Ritters Royals models. Simply incredible designs.
Although I avoid Guitar Center like the plague, I went into the San Jose one last week on a whim. They had a 7-string Ritter Roya up on the used wall that I had them bring down just to look over: didn't even plug it in.
Now, I have a hard time with anything more than a 4-banger, but the neck was so thin that I could actually reach all strings, almost all the way up the neck. The feel of the entire instrument is "solid", in the sense that it was built by a very confident and competent craftsman, and that the player can actually "feed" off of these characteristics. Everything felt right in place, and exuded an attitude of knowing it was made of the best material.
I've never encountered a bass built like this before, and although I'll never afford one, I couldn't help but be incredibly impressed with what he's made.

Interesting to read your comment. When interviewed about his Ritter Jupiter 6, Phil Lesh was quoted as saying, "This instrument is teaching me to play in an entirely different way."

I wish for this bass (at least a Jupiter 6 w/ Piano Finish). Coincidentally, what is the street price for a kidney? lol
he said "resembles," not "is a dead ringer." but i agree it looks nothing like a coffeetable. coffeetables are never that orangeNever seen a coffee table with strings and frets before.
