Meet #0645 I haven't come up with a name for her yet.

Stunning! I love purple, and I love highly figures maple.

+1 for Grape-Ape.

First gig tonight playing "Dionysius" the god of intoxication. First impressions, the strings are shot, I can't wait on Ritter strings to arrive from Germany so I'm going to try a set of DR coated 45-125 Silver Stars I have lying around. Great snarly tone in passive mode, especially when you dig in. I haven't figured out all the controls yet, one pot seems to have too much "travel" I'll take the knob off and see if the pot is loose tonight. With the preamp engaged and the bass boosted this thing ROARS! I found that boosting the mids at the end of a song gives me a nice sustained feedback without facing the amp as well, neat trick. I fought it for a whole set getting used to the string spacing and wide neck, as well as playing parallel frets for the first time in months, but by the second set I was warmed up to it. Now I know what all the fuss is about!

I've asked a few people via PM, but maybe it's better if i ask it here...

If you have a picture of yourself with your Ritter Bass and you don't mind if we put it on the Ritter-Instruments.com website, please send the picture to me.
- Upload it and send me the link via pm
- Post the picture here and let me know if it's ok to put it in the website
- Or send your picture to info [at] deep-impact [dot] be

Please include the instrument number!

If you want to be mentioned on the website as the owner: send me your name and country.

Ritter Instruments is also on Facebook now !

Great idea to get some gig pics on the website - where will they be placed on the site?

Now, I just have to get a gig... but first, a band :ninja:

Btw, how is Jens doing? He hasn't replied to my e-mails for months.

Your name and country are listed with your bass in the history section, your photo of you with your bass is the last photo posted in the album. Pretty cool concept, I love looking at all the basses Jens has produced over the years, it's neat to be able to pull up your bass by serial number and have your picture with it.

I just placed an order for strings, and misc. stuff from the Ritter site last night. Does anyone have any idea how long shipping takes, and does FedEx hit you up with import fees after your stuff arrives?
Thanks,
Jeff

Like rollerberg2000 mentioned, the pics will be on the details page of your instruments.
It doesn't have to be a gig picture, just you and the bass. Also, the quality of the picture isn't important.

As usual, Jens is very busy. He's still working on some content for the website and he's finishing a lot of ordered instruments.
If it really takes too long, send me a PM with your questions for Jens.

The shipping is very fast. Usually within 7days. I have no idea about import fees though

Thanks for the info, Frizzle :)

I think I'll just shoot Jens another e-mail, Thunderitter tells me that he may have had problems with his e-mail around the time I sent it last time.
It's not too urgent, I'm just curious about a few things...! :p

Guys,
unfortunately I need to sell the bass. Sadly, but I need the money. So if anyone is interested plse drop me a line.
Thank you
Oliver

Wow, that was fast...! Very sorry to hear it, I've had to sell a few basses myself because of money trouble, but I'll hang on to my Ritters as long as I'm on this earth :)

I'd definitely be interested in yours if I could spare the cash... but it'll be tight for me the next couple of years.

Best of luck to you with the sale.

Guys, I need input from anyone who has shipped a bass from the US to Jens for repair. I am only sending the body, so what is the safest, least expensive method you have found? Also, will there be customs fees associated? Any input would be appreciated.

The bass stays here!

Nice!! :hyper:
