That was one of my fav sounding Ritter's I have ever had through the shop and I have had a ton of them! Congrats!

I've been trying to work out why that's the case! As you'll know it has a mahogany neck and swamp ash body, but in my opinion that shouldn't really affect things too greatly when compared with my other maple/maple Roya.

The Black Knight string are different, but seem pretty close to the Swordsteel and would account for a small change in sound anyway, so it must all be down to Blue frosted finish!

Seriously and by deduction, that leaves the 2 band Noll pre-amp. After my experience of the last few days I'm seriously considering retro'ing one into my other Roya. I'll drop Jens a note and see what he thinks.

Guys,
I do own my new Ritter for a few days now and am really blown away by the sound.
It is a Roya Fretless 5string. It has a massive cedar body with a highly flamed maple neck. Additionally to the Master Bar Triplebucker it has a Piezo pickup buildt in. The sound is awesome, see here Jens´video of the bass:

Congrats on a fantastic looking bass, Oliver - and welcome to the owners club :) You have #34, updated member list to follow below.

This has to be the first bass I've seen featuring a solid cedar body, it looks very cool, and I love the back of that neck. The long fingerboard is really nice as well, and you have plenty of options with the Triplebucker and piezos. It's a full Triplebucker more than I have on my fretless :p
