Ah, if you got that kind of money for the bass, I would probably also have sold it...! I wonder why the buyer didn't just order a new one from Jens?
Did you get the Cora from Jens? I'm guessing with that serial it must be brand new.
My bass is finished, but Jens is changing the design of the OPA-drive to make it smaller before installing it in the bass, so that's what we're waiting for now
The guy that bought it is kinda of compulsive. I guess, for him, the extra cash payed is worth it, for not having to wait for the bass to be completed.
I got the Cora from a store here in Brazil. It came brand new for the Expomusic (our Namm). The guy who ordered it is a dealer in Venezuela or Colombia I think, and he sold the bass to a guy I know that owns the shop were I bought it.
Man... I really want an OPA-drive.... good choice!!

Sorry should have clarified. I got the WRONG certification with my bass. But now that I'm home the serial number stated on it is 2402 RO 5 ES. If this is anyones let me know you can have the cert if you want it. It pretty much identical to yours though accept the woods are slightly different I believe.. I swear the pic of it looked spalt, but I can't find a pic of it
Swamp Ash/Quilt maple top, Roya in honey orange, Maple neck 34" Bart JB's in the bridge and neck. Prod dated Jan 03' I think it was sold from Ed Romans site.
Serial number stated on mine is CL 4 KV 807 Seems backwards compared to the rest of them. I dont think its gonna get mixed up though lol

2002 according to Brian of Low End and confirmed by Jens. It is on his site as 0224.
It really is an amazing piece. according to the cert (on his site) this is supposed to be 7,7 lbs, It feels like 2! The balance and just everything about it is really something.
The variation of the colors and patterning of the ebony on the neck is just really interesting. A lot of character.

Very nice fretless Roya you got there - the older serials can be really confusing, but there's nothing about this one that looks like anything else than the real deal. Jens has changed his designs slightly over time, as well as updated some features. I remember him saying that each bass being hand made, they will all be a little different, and especially the neck volute on the back of the headstock can vary a lot depending on the mass distribution of the instrument.
It is rare to see a 5-string with 8 neck bolts, though, but I found a 5-string Classic with 7 in his history album, so I guess he was experimenting a bit still, back then.
The Barts are also what Jens mainly used before he started making his own PUs, and he was particularly happy with how they worked on his fretless basses - we've talked quite a bit about this, and we usually agree on everything, including this

Mmmhh, the new Shudarella is definitely my favourite so far. Love the color pattern and the decoration. Well, if I win the lottery... 
So I'm brainstormin' a custom 6 with Jens. I'm having fun with different pickup/electronics setups. I have a question for anybody that has had experience with both TripleBucks and Slimbucks. I have Triple bucks so I'm very familiar with those. But I've never played a Ritter with the Slimbucks.
How do they compare?
Do the Slimbucks sound like tapped Triple's, or do they sound like full on Triples, or something completely different?
Also, how wide are they? About half a Triplebuck?
I almost never tap my Triple's, I feel that the Single Coil sound is a little thin. Anyway, any info or experience would be appreciated.

Thanks. Hm. That sounds way different than my Ritter with Master Bar's in singles mode. That Cora sounds like a beefy J-Bass. I did notice that the neck pickup on the Cora's is closer to the neck than on the other Ritter models. I wonder if that is part of the sound. Any other comments from people who have used both would be helpful, as well as the size of the pickup.
Both my Ritter basses have single coils. I'm considering triplebuckers for my new bass. Not because I don't like the SC sound, but just to have other sound possibilities.
I have played Ritter basses with Triples, but not long enough to really test them and every time it was in a noisy environment and not always with my own amp and speakers.
If I remember correctly, Jens said that switching the triples to SC is the same as just having SC PUs.
Then there's also playing style, wood, amps/speakers,... that influence the sound. With Ritter basses, active with flat EQ is the same as playing passive, in volume and sound.
The above samples are from a Cora with Alder body. My Cora has a swamp ash body and sounds quite different. Both have lots of low, the alder a bit more. The swamp ash has more low mid and because of that the high strings/notes sound a bit fuller IMO. Cora basses do sound like "beefy" or "muscular" (as Jens calls it) J-basses

Makes sense. However, passive and active are not identical. They have the same volume, but the buffer from the active circuit definitely allows some extra highs to shine through. Sounds just a tad more "hi-fi". But that's just my experience.
