The Hyper Luminal is awesome and way more compressor than I need. I'm kind of an idiot so I'm certainly not using it to its potential but it's very transparent ( or can be) and subtle but can also crush your tone and Just aid in making it nastier. It's interesting running it before input sensitive pedals like the EF or the C4 because I get generally run it to control dynamics in to my gain stages but that would be the case with any compressor.

Agree. I've bought and sold a ton of pedals to get here and finally bought a board ( at my wife's insistence) after having these pedals set up all willy-billy for months. I had incorporated a SansAmp GT2 and digi delay as well as a couple others. I go clean-> B3K for a bit of grit and clang-> A/O for Bone crushing heaviness and then the Big Muff for just straight chaos. As a couple people said the Muff gets a bit convoluted in the mix.

You're the 2nd TB member I've seen mention that his wife had an opinion about his pedalboard. As middle-aged serial monogomists go I have a variety of past instances to draw from when I say the following:

I can not imagine what it would be like to have a wife or GF who spent 4 seconds thinking about my effects pedals. I think maybe that's something I'd want, but then again I'm pretty sure that no, I don't want that at all. Foreign terrain.
