They were absolutely EPIC. Screw what anyone says, they were rocking as hard on that tour as I have ever seen. And Trujillo's basslines were booming in the Sprint Center.
They are back for blood!
When i saw them in october of last year (front row on the floor like 5 feet away i might add!!) that was his most frequently used bass and it sounded amazing!
Not really a fan of the band, but that Ric is incredibly cool!

It's real. I saw him play it here on the Death Magnetic tour. He used it on a couple of new songs, The End Of The Line was one. It looked very cool.
It doesn't look photoshopped to me, but it definately is not my idea of "in style". To me he looks like a baboon with long hair in a basketball uniform, with a cool ric... .

There's a video on youtube where Kirk is playing the solo.... wait.... melting my face off w/ the solo to Master Of Puppets and my friends and i can find the three of us on the video.
...so yeah... it was beyond awesome!
i just think its absolutely hilarious all these people with their..."AAAMMAAAZZZIIIINGGGGGGGG" photoshop skills and knowledge of it just got smashed in the face by the fist of wrong. stop being so stuck in your ways that everything on the internet is fake... it really gets annoying. especially considering its coming from MM a mod and as we all know a huge metallica fan...there's pics of this bass allllll over the place as many people have posted
