Rock Band with Female Singer

Worked with a band that had female singer, high maintainence. The problem you run into is so many of the songs are male part songs and it limits your collection. However there are so many girl group songs out there. But a chick singing Robert Plant, while can be done isn't right somehow. But when you have a serious showpiece like Die So Fluid... One of my lady friends is a bassist and singer in her band, she's way kinky cool too. Ah to be 25 again, BOB

I must disagree. Lez Zeppelin is awesome IMHO. And I likes the original Zep very much.

Actually, now that I think about it, it would be interesting to see how a DnB Zep cover band with a chick frontgirl would work out.

Or, maybe I should just check my self in to the men with long white coats and padding in the rooms.....

You must have never Heart covering Zep. They do quite a few Zep tunes. Here are a couple...

There was an early 90's all female band called Phantom Blue. The guitarists totally shredded, great vocals, drums. The bassist was ok. The first album was good, but the production was so-so; what do ya want for shrapnel records. The second one was really good. They did a remake of 'Time to Run'. Check out the video; it's really bad but the song kicks so much @$$.

We cover Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, INXS, U2, Journey, Hendrix, The Animals, The Killers, The Racouentours, Prince, and so many more. I don't feel that we are are limited to playing only female songs as some have sorta stated. IMO we can pull just about anything off and sound good doing it.

Don't limit the songs she sings to just just those done by women. If there is a gender to the song you can change it. I've played in bands that the female singer has done covers of Tush, and You Can Leave Your Hat On. Both went over very well
