Of course, my strings are worn to the core in multiple frets, so they're like palm muting. This gives a horrible dead sound.
Also, on top of me desperately needing a 6er, i may very well possibly land a great band that's going to tour the triangle area. They need a low B. haha. It has former members of Nephilym, Death to Dreams, and 13th Knot.
sounds like you need to save for a bongo 6hh.
I play Protest the Hero and Between the buried and Me.
Because of this I need a 6.
I think 6s are more comfortable than 5s anyways. And at the moment, I desperately need the extended range. Even if my tastes change, I know there will be a time I need the range.
And like I said, the fretless 5 can wait. That ones just for fun.![]()
If you're going to have 1,300 to kick around for a new 6 string, look at Invalid Link Removed. Yea, it's more than the Soundgear, but it's going to kick the sound gear in the balls.
DING DING DING
That's like another $500 above what his estimated price for the MIA and his savings was already though, so I didn't mention it.

Am I missing something?
Neither of those bassists uses a 6 string. I enjoy playing the progressive stuff as well, and I can't think of any time where I needed to use my 6'er for that style.
