Where do you get the "non-returnable" info?

Here is their return policy:

"If you received an incorrect item or items are received damaged, the item must be returned within five business days of receiving. Items may be returned for any other reason within 30 days of receiving. Customers that received the wrong item or damaged items may elect to have the item replaced or refunded."

I have had 2 of them. A 6 string Douglas and a 5 string Brice. Both were pretty decent beginner stuff, but pretty good for the money. I would not play with one on stage unless I had to and you cannot compare them to anything of high quality. They are really affordable basses, not much mroe than that. If you spend $100 on a bass that is what you get. These the finishes are very good, they play pretty well and they don't sound all that bad. Hey it is a $100

The set neck BRICE is all I can speak for here. I've been looking at their Beatle bass clone(original color) for a while. My experience: The set neck Brice should be VERY nice. When you get it, clean the pots with contact cleaner. This fixed my Brice's scratchy pots.

This Brice is my favorite overall bass for the past 6 months. It has seen every job since I got it(gig once per week).

The Rondo-supplied bass below was bought because I could not see chunking any huge sum at a bass shaped not-to-my-preference(T-Birds) but a P/J sound was needed. The SX provides nicely(I've owned a 60's P-bass):

Send Kurt(at Rondo) an email and ASK him what his policy is should you feel concerned.

Again, the set neck Brice should be a VERY solid bass.
The bolt-neck seems to be a LOT like Musician Friend's "ROGUE" brand. The Rogue 5-er(bot-neck) got sold and replaced with the very-low-cost Rondo-supplied Douglas neck-thru which sounds 1000% better than a bolt-neck(IMHO).

Because I live in England I sent them an e-mail asking whether they post to Britain and they do but posting to Britain makes the item non-refundable no matter what

I bought a 5 string SX fretless Jazz from Rondo about a month ago. After 30+ years of playing semi-pro, I can vouch that this is a surprisingly nice bass for the money and perfectly usable on stage. My experience with Rondo was positive and I have read elsewhere that if there's something wrong with an instrument purchased from them they will make it right. Contact Kurt at Rondo with your concerns. He's good about responding in a day or two.

Under $200 delivered. 1st was damaged, within a week I had a replacement in my hands.
I ordered it after emailing stating that I may very well be exchanging or asking for a refund. Said "no problem". I've nothing but high regards for Rondo and wouldn't hesitate on additional orders.
About the quality,,,, they are not high end by any means. They look good, mine sounds damned good for the price and hope to make it better. Just now finished installing a new bridge, shimming the neck, and a couple of other things. Next is to rework the nut, and do a setup.
Was it really required? Definitely not. But I like what I like and know it's unlikely to expect a $200 5 string fretless to meet my desires. Knew this long before trying an SX.
In the end this will probably be my beater bass. Not because of any shortcomings as far as looks, tone, playability go, I just get into some "iffy' places at times and don't want to be overly concerned if my bass gets knocked or someone wants to "play & drop".
As far as I'm concerned, from what I've seen, I'd take a SX over a Squire, Hondo, or any of the higher priced low ends from any manufacturer (Washburn, Yamaha, etc.) without hesitation.
They have a very big bang for the buck IMO.
The Brice I've not seen or heard. But with Rondo doing the selling with their policy the only thing you could loose is $20 or less shipping if you're not completely happy. I'd say, "Try it".
