Is there a specific date that you could search on wayback machine to find that forum?

From memory (I'm not currently with the device I used to find the page), it is a page archived in 2007, corresponding with the dates on the screenshot. I clicked most of the links, and none of them are further archived as active links. However, a teaser is apparent in hovering over a topic, with a post "bubble" appearing, as if the link were active.

Thanks for posting the "set-up and intonation" link. It's good timing with all the recent setup discussions.

I love that thread, I have parts of Gard's post saved on my phone that I reference every time I set my basses up. I thought there was some info in there about setting up Roscoe fretless basses, I need to go back and check. My fretless is long overdue for a string change and a good setup. I am not as confident setting that guy up compared to my other basses.

Last night with my new band. Great classic country with a few “modern” country. Nothing could have sounded better than my Roscoe’s friends. Brought a little something older and newer and they both shined.

It sounded fantastic. My P would have been more appropriate as we just had acoustic guitar, some harmonica and vocals today, but the LG sounds huge. Played great. The single coils are growly as heck. I was thinking that maybe my Century 5 was all I needed, but…I may be bringing 3 basses for some gigs.

I’m going to order the replacement bridge. The link defaults to aluminum, but brass is an option of course.

Do y’all have a preference?

If you're weight conscious, aluminum is the way. If you believe that brass offers better tone, can afford a little extra weight, and/or need some extra ballast at the bridge end, that's the choice.

That is my metrics too. I wasn’t sure if there was another consideration. I’ve never found a need to replace a bridge on 6K instrument. Epiphone… yes.

As a point of interest Keith Roscoe uses both proprietary and non-proprietary Hipshots. I have 2 Roscoes that were built with the latter. PM me if you'd like more detail.

Wow! The price seems steep for what it is. I have never priced bridges outside of a new bass so I had no idea.

Things are expensive these days. I haven’t decided yet if I want/need to replace the bridge on my LG. I’m still deciding if I want/need the bass. The action could maybe be a little lower, but I kind of like mine a touch higher than many people I think. Yet, my Century 5 and even my Classic P are pretty low.

Yeah, buying direct from Hipshot is always going to be more expensive. Fat Bass Tone has them for $153.
