Roscoe Club

That is absolutely gorgeous...

It seems like these Standards are starting to creep into Custom $$ territory. Has Roscoe done away with the "One Price" concept?

There's very little that's standard about that bass...that's a stunner for sure!

Well, it is a part of that Limited Edition run for Rocket Music. They are "Standard Plus" basses but with a little extra as they are available ONLY to/via Greg at Rocket Music. That's how he gets an unusual top, the matching front and back of the headstock, little things like that.

They've actually extended it to all of their products now, both customs and standards. They did that 2 price increases ago. They dropped the inflated "Retail" price that dealers would then discount down to 75%. Now "the price" is just "the price" for everything.

The 2013 price increase was a pretty good bump (10-15% comparing street price to street price) because they hadn't raised prices in quite some time, but 2014 was pretty small by comparison (3-ish %).

Oh, and I should address the back of headstock lamination on this most recent 6-string. That is NOT a standard feature of the RMLE basses. There was either a booger in the maple on the back of the headstock or the headstock was originally milled too thin by mistake. The rear lamination was a simple & elegant solution to the problem, but it won't be done on other RMLE's.

I should have let you speak for yourself, Greg. Sorry to jump in with bad info. :(
