What a story! It just floated by me while I was fishing is the like the big fish that got away story.This is probably old news to most of you guys but since I rarely (if ever) visit Face Book I just saw this ... Crazy cool!

One benefit of owning a Roscoe is that each instrument is unique- the woods, the wood grain, the finish, the hardware, the electronics, all of it.
If one walks away they're very easy to find and prove that you own it.
Right, but just my luck I’d hook a Fender stuck on the bottom.

That’s actually a very likely Ray. I’ve reeled quite a few auto parts in from the bottom of lakes.

I’ve been wanting to pop my flat wound Cherry and was curious, who strings their Roscoe w flats?
Currently, it’s strung w Ken Smith Tapercores but in my itch to try flats I’m considering stringing it up w flats.
for what it’s worth, I have 90s LG3005.
If any of you use or have used flats on your Roscoe(s) I’d love to hear from you. If you comment, I’d love to know if you’re a regular flats player occasional or tried & converted or tried & went back to rounds.

I do. I use TI Jazz Flats. And they have tons of growl. Feel great too.
Not cheap but they last for a long, long, long time.
I have TI flats on my passive Classic P. I did play a bass last weekend with TI Rounds. That was interesting. Felt almost flat but had that brighter sound of rounds. I usually use D’Addario nickel rounds, but I’m tempted to give the TI Rounds a try.
And the D’addario Chrome and EB Cobalt flats sound excellent on a fretted Roscoe. Much cheaper too.
But the TI are really special if you don’t mind the lower tension.
I actually picked up a set of Sadowsky flats which pricewise id say are comparable to the TIs. I’m not opposed to trying TIs too as it seems they have quite the following!
I’ve head good things about those too.
And for the record Roscoeheads, conttador owns the very first Roscoe that I owned. I purchased it in 1996 from Atlanta Discount Music.
I sold it to a good friend, Jason Crowe (an AFRES bassist), and he owned up until last year. Awesome Roscoe!

That looks like the old Wilkinson bridge. My first LG had that bridge and EMG active pick ups.

That one sure has an awesome Myrtle burl top! And of course the Roscoe signature Rosewood sapwood finger board (same streaking as Keith loved to use with spalted Purpleheart (or sapwood).
Well, it’s been “about 2 weeks” so I’m hoping that one of these days maybe we’ll see some pics of my glossy Koa Century 5.
Don’t you guys worry too much. Hell, those two weeks will just fly by in a couple of months or so!
