I don’t think there is a specific time. It has been my experience to not play a bass or even look at it after I’ve posted it for sale, else it just screws things up all to hell.

I saw that green fretless and am so glad I can’t play a fretless because I was willing to offer two Roscoes for that stunning fretless.

I know that feeling well. It usually takes me changing an ad from "FOR SALE" to "NO LONGER AVAILABLE" 3-4 times before I just leave it up for sale (until it actually sales).

Of course in your case Scott, you do have other Roscoe's!;)

Be patient, it only takes one. As we age, some of us transition away from 5s to 4s, both because of weight, and finger stretch. I was all 5 from 1998 to 2019, now it's all 4s all the time. Had I not already transitioned, I would have looked hard at yours.

Well, I'm no spring chicken either. Maybe I should save it for down the road? I have enjoyed playing a 4 while my 5 is gone. Honestly, except for one song, I've gotten away with DADG tuning, Eb tuning and up an octave.

But I'm sure when my 5 comes back it'll take over. It has the best neck ever. More comfy to play than my 4's I believe.

Oh, the pain from being stuck with a Roscoe bass. :facepalm:

I can think of other undesirable things to be stuck with other than a Roscoe bass. Like boxes of pedals! :thumbsup:

I do have 14 years on you. Seriously, playing a lot of Hard Rock makes speed a priority, and 3 hour practices make sub 9 lbs mandatory. Still having a little trouble doing Good Times Bad Times or War Pigs at full speed. Doesn't help that the other band members are 42, 25 and 23 years younger than I am :woot:

The look of an LG with straight pickups has always really appealed to me.
