Sorry for not replying earlier, just busy at work. My inspiration for ordering this neck goes back to owning an Elrick with a completely wenge neck. I don't claim to be an expert at describing the tone of woods, but if pressed, I'd say it's similar to maple with a bit more growl. And the combo of the porous wood and Keith's magic sauce makes the neck extremely smooth. Ed, I salute your bravery. You will be rewarded! That sound like Gary's (Freddie.G) Roscoe! It is an awesome look, for sure. His is a stunning bass!

I noticed that too. Didn't he order that just 3 or 4 months ago? It's looking like being Roscoe's "#1 customer" has its advantages.I tried to post them on my phone but it didn’t work, and i forgot to try and figure it out.
Also looks like Shane’s new Roscoe is almost done, and he’s looking for a jazz configured one, so they’ll probably be some “best bass I ever played/mastergrade” Roscoes up for sale soon![]()
Nightman,
I should have the listing up over the weekend.

A very gorgeous Roscoe! Keith did an excellent job on that one. I’m pretty much strictly a 18-18.3mm strings spacing, 5’er player kinda fella.Just listed this Century Standard 5 in the classifieds.
Will these bitter cold temps forecasted for next week put shipping your bass on hold?I just want my C5+ back. It’s been 3 months.
I don’t know. I think as long as I wait to open it for 2-3 days I think it’d be ok? Let it acclimate to the house. Leave it in the box, then leave it in the gig bag. Be patient. Will these bitter cold temps forecasted for next week put shipping your bass on hold?

Hmmm… J/MM, 19mm. That’s right up my alley. That’s the only configuration I don’t have. But I must stay on track with the 16 mo wait for my current build.Just listed this Century Standard 5 in the classifieds.

I was aware of the potential fallout when I posted that statement.
It would be easier to be patient if the bass was complete and in my basement.![]()
Might as well make it a 2-trackJ/MM, 19mm, the only configuration I don’t have. But I must stay on track. .
Oh, I know. I feel for those waiting for a new bass. And for as long as it’s been since I’ve played/held this bass, it will seem like new.We just love messing with you Steve.
Think of it this way, guys are waiting 12-16 months for new basses. You’re getting what will feel like a new bass in 3-4 months (plus or minus a couple weeks).![]()
That answers the question of if you still have that Fodera…Roscoe LG5 fretless sounded wonderful today!!!!View attachment 4907032
