Roscoe Club

Thinking of putting my black LG3005 custom up for sale. It doesn't see much action since I hit the ball out of the park with the standard that I ordered almost 3 years ago. It has become my #1. Plus the anticipation of my upcoming order will cover most playing situations. I think I'll take out the Fatstacks and put it back to stock first. But that piano black is just so sexy...

Wow, that is GORGEOUS! I don't think I've ever seen a black Roscoe like that. Absolutely beautiful.

Are my eyes deceiving me, or has that one got wider spacing? Maybe 19mm?

First, sorry for your wait and frustration. The scenario you describe has become more common for many builders and manufacturers in the music industry. It's no consolation, but is characteristic of the current economic and production environment.

The bankruptcy you reference was a reorganization with one creditor (a lender), and was settled quickly with a loan restructure. Roscoe Guitars successfully emerged from the chapter 11 bankruptcy/reorganization proceeding without missing a beat. No creditors (including suppliers) were affected, and no payments were missed to any parties during the process.

When the pandemic occurred, Keith and Kyle Roscoe were the only 2 working in the shop. Orders burgeoned with lockdowns, right as supply chains dried up. Your order falls within this time frame. More recently, they have tried to hire people to work in the shop to help, but to no avail as there is a severe labor shortage.

The best way to contact Keith is by phone. Keep calling until you talk to him, or he returns your call. Email is not his preferred communication due to the volume of messages he receives. Although it's easiest for many customers, including me, it's not effective as a sole method. Also, Roscoe Guitars has Facebook and Instagram accounts. Maybe IM him to help arrange a time for a progress-update phone call.

Hope this info is helpful. Best wishes in receiving your bass!

That BEM fingerboard looks awesome too!

Only struggled a few times to reach a low note. But that’s to be expected after spending the last month on a Telecaster.
I guess I can expect this to happen to me, since I left a church gig where I was playing bass and took a weekly church gig to play a Strat model guitar.
I enjoy the playing/gigging but fingers are tripping out! :D

All of this talk about guitars, makes me wonder, "Where are the Roscoes?" Oh, wait. .
