I know there are lots of pickup options, and people have good results with many of them, but I really like the Roscoe/Bart/Bart combo.

Rub it out with 0000 steel wool and then 1500-2000 wet/dry sand paper. Then rub in some Howard Feed and wax. It’ll look and feel like new.
I’ve had several different pickup/preamp combos in Roscoes over the years, and I have to agree with you for the most part. The *only* combo I liked slightly better was the Bart CB soapbars instead of the standard Roscoe Barts.I know there are lots of pickup options, and people have good results with many of them, but I really like the Roscoe/Bart/Bart combo.
If anyone knows anyone looking for a 5 or 6 string fretless Roscoe please shoot me a pm. I’m looking to move a couple beauties at good deals. Need to pay for some of these guitars lol. Thanks folks!

I miss her but am glad she’s in good hands!Speaking of Roscoe fretless basses.
I was inspired this morning to pull out the SKB-3005 Bees wing bubinga/mahogany Roscoe that I got from Scott and laid down a scratch track over a beautiful tune we’re doing this Sunday (Thank You Jesus for the Blood). Wow does that bass growl! Wish I had time to pull off a bass switch in the middle of the service. That would be the main downside of playing a really large church.
