Lol
It can be a bit crazy getting a sound check at 8:00 AM. I have to get up at 6:00 AM in order to go through the tunes and drive the 40 minute commute to church. After practice and playing two services I’m usually wore out that evening.
A short time ago we were discussing the idea of flats on a Roscoe. My SKB 6 has a heavy Mahogany body and an Ebony fingerboard and is quite bright sounding...too bright for me. I installed a set of TI flats and they sound great on the bass except for the B string which was not very clear sounding. TI uses a .136 B string and it just sounded undefined above the 5th fret.
I had a set of Ernie Ball Cobalt flats in my string drawer so I installed the B string on the bass and now it sounds much better as I play up the neck. The Cobalt B sounds just fine with the TI's. There is no discernible difference in tone.
I think I will try the complete set of Cobalts on my next string change, however, as you probably know those TI's last a very long time.
I have been using Fodera strings on my Peavie Cirrus and DR on my Roscoe. they both recommend putting a 90+ degree bend in the string before you cut it to the length needed. I am sure this helps to make sure there isn’t any unwinding of the wraps over the core of the string. There are some YouTube’s that talk about the subject.

I learned that years ago. I don’t remember where.

Have you looked at Curt Mangan strings? They do make a C string but don’t sell a 6 string set. Most odd. I need to contact them and see how we can get some.
Greg at Rocket is stocking TI strings.I'm going to pickup a set of TI flats for my fretless soon. Where would y'all suggest I buy from? I know of some online dealers but checking to see if there are better options.
