I like that reverse slant blue Century! Really wish there was a 5-string version like that out there for sale…Two that I truly regret selling:

I found one of mine. Century fretless 5.Thanks for posting this
How many of us can find our Roscoe’s in there? I’ll need to check for my two!
This is my third Roscoe and currently my #1. This is such an amazing instrument. It was built for me as part of the trade deal I had with Keith. If you recall I traded him the rare 3 string. Which I believe they have on display. I did a couple mods. I added Aero pickups and a KTS bridge and DiMarzio strap, Strung up with chromes 40-95. Its under 8 lbs. it has an absolutely perfect neck with the lowest possible playable action I’ve ever played. A well executed PLEK I assume. This will never leave the collection and Im very lucky to have it. Magic bass

I found my old SKB 5 JJ that Scott purchased back from me.I found one of mine. Century fretless 5.
It was super fun and sounded incredible but I was always reaching for the g string. I asked if it could be modified for the g string added on and then we struck up the deal for the classic. So glad I did. On a side note the aged finished instruments are nitro. Poly won’t give up the desired results.

I don’t usually go for the relic’d thing, but that’s a fantastic looking bass! I understand why this will never leave your collection. This is my third Roscoe and currently my #1. One of Gard's personal basses became a Roscoe "banner bass," inspiring many builds that were patterned after it. So beautiful!I still miss the days of the Roscoe forum here. Lots of great discussions, lots of really cool build threads, and a lot of wallets considerably lighter due to that forum.
And agreed, the Greg/Gard era of Roscoe basses resulted in a TON of amazing basses. They were both a lot of help to me with all the custom orders I did back then. There were more than a couple hair brained ideas I had that Gard would simply say “no, you don’t want to do that”. And of course he was right, as the end results were pretty much exactly what I was after.
Dang, Joe. Any of those 4 could be legacy-caliber basses.Found 4 that I bought ....
