This bass was part of a collection of a retired bassist. All of the pieces we purchased were very well kept. This guitar has a gloss coat and is in excellent condition. The grandson selling the pieces did not know any specifics for this one (ie woods and materials). I've included several images to give you a better idea as to its specifics. It comes with its original case. We can ship to the nearest GC, however there will be a shipping charge which shouldn't be too much. UPS charges us for anything they pick up to ship out for us. The charge would be the same whether we ship to the GC or to you.

Looks like a Century Standard Plus with a mahogany body diamondwood board, 3 piece maple neck, Bart pups and pre and a gloss coat already, a lot like my Koa 5.

So I received this bass on Wednesday, and starting setting it up on Thursday (haven't really played it yet). Overall it's in great shape. My notes so far:

  • The truss rod was fully loosened (I set it a quarter-turn in tension when I removed the neck, as it could use a smidge less relief);
  • The batteries expired two years ago :eek:
  • The bridge saddles were ridiculously high, as if someone had switched from exposed-core to regular strings
  • The nut slots didn't have enough "fall" away from the board (now addressed)
  • The bass had flats installed; I'll put DR Sunbeams on but I'm intrigued at the idea of flats (I'll keep the old strings)
  • There is light rust on the saddle springs/hardware and on the neck bolts (not unusual, but now addressed)
  • The aluminum (?) fret position markers are just the tiniest bit "sprouted" on the top of the Dymondwood board under the G string; I expect this to lessen with exposure to proper humidity levels
So far so good! Can't wait to hear how it compares to "The Mothership," as other bass players have dubbed my unlined 6-string fretless Roscoe. :thumbsup:
