Roscoe Club

How about I buy the LG3000, and put your shipping address as the delivery address, and you ship me back the fretless? :smug:

Happy New Year's Eve, Steve and all!
You know…I have entertained the idea of moving the fretless. I used to play it at church, but my P has kind of overtaken everything these days. That said, there’s nothing like a Roscoe fretless. I’m a little torn.

Don’t do it Steve! The FL gives you something your other Roscoe’s, as great as they are, cannot give you.

The Classic P continues to impress. The more I play it the more I love it.
I put Dunlop flats on my Century 5 but haven’t had a chance to gig it yet. We’ll see. Right now I’m liking the P and liking flats. I’m going COMPLETELY opposite of myself historically. I was even contemplating what I could/would sell to get a P bass (made by another company and named for a famous person) I played a while back that I thought was one of the top 3 basses I’ve ever touched.

Its been quiet here. A whole week?

I thought I'd throw this out to the Roscoe hive first. I have a Century Signature I'm looking to trade for an LG or SKB. It has a koa top and ash body, 3 pc wenge neck, BEM board, Bart pickup and pre, black hardware, Dunlop straploks, etc. Looking for custom or Signature, bubinga or cocobolo top or other dark wood with BEM or some figured sapwood fretboard, I'd prefer a straight up trade but +/- cash is always a possibility.

I'm just not getting along with the wenge neck and the body size. It's a beautiful instrument, plays great and sounds great. Could use a setup. 20241112_101446.jpg20241112_101627.jpg

I think I’ve been converted. All I play is my Roscoe Classic P with flats. I restrung and setup my Century 5 and it’s a great bass, but I just don’t find myself grabbing that bass these days. I play it in passive mode now, too.

It feels weird to quote myself but I couldn't figure out how to edit the original post. Is it possible?

I need to correct the bits about the preamp. It's actually a Nordstrand 3 band with a VTC control. And the pickups are the Roscoe Barts. Cash sale $3500 shipped. So if your looking for an outstanding bass here you go. It will be hitting the classifieds soon.
