Don't ever ask Ken Smith which E extender works on his basses, I did once and he told me I needed to quit being cheap and buy a 5 string. So I did, I bought a Roscoe. :)

Nice family shot. I really like that teal PJ5 with the purpleheart board! What kind of pickups and pre does it have and how is the tone profile on it? Looking at the pickup placement are the lows a little more round and full than with the traditional Roscoe soapbars?

Aguilar pups and it will have it's original OBP-1 re-installed on Monday.... has a Nordstrand in it now but I already have a Nordstrand in my LG and prefer the Aggy. Profile of neck.... I have been playing bass for 30 years now and I have no idea what that really means.... so I will give you the best answer I can. The neck is just like every other Roscoe 5 I have....perfect. :)

I hear you there...
Last year, I bought the Roscoe that was a big splurge but there was a 0-year birthday involved...
This year, we bought my wife a flute she's been wanting - in the Roscoe range - another big splurge.
So that's going to have to hold us for a while.
But as it happens - I don't know what more I'd want anyway...

I must not be checking in TB enough these days. I looked at RMLE 6 for several minutes before the light bulb came on! :>)

Well it took 1-1/2 years but I finally broke down and ordered a Demeter preamp for Queen Koa. I love the tone of that bass with the Bart/Bart combo but listening to sound clips of my former walnut/mahogany 3006 (Mahoganut) and my Burl Maple/Spanish Cedar LG3005 with the Demeter/Bart combo finally weakened me. Here's a couple of sound clips of those basses with the Demeter/Bart combo .....
