What did you put in there and why?

I put in Nordstrand NS5J pickups in it. My goal was to get a little more traditional sound out of it. Worked like a charm.

This is my first post, I've had many basses haven't quite had the luxury of being able to keep them, but these are my current basses. To me once I heard the Roscoes I was done. Absolutely amazing sounding/playing/looking instruments. I couldn't say enough good things about them.

The stolen Roscoe Thread was probably the one in the old Roscoe Forum. We all miss that forum!

That is a sad sad story but brings to mind a few things . One.. you must always document all of your musical instruments . Photos , serial #'s dates and receipts files and folders , the more info the better . Everything that is available about them . 2: Buy renters insurance if you can , it protects you in case of theft , fire and sometimes flood . There are all levels and cost of insurance and it's usually not all that costly . Pretty sure they have it for life in a dorm as well .Go with a big name like Farmers or AAA or somesuch but moving past that one should report it to the police ASAP as these things often turn up at the nearest pawn shop and or like in this case someone who was invited in . They will need to answer to the Law . Best of luck .

what type of fretboard is on the burl top one in your pic? Looks amazing. Don't have a roscoe yet but I'm in the process of selecting specs for a build. That fretboard wood looks awesome and could be in contention....

It's solid ebony. Out of all the basses I've had and different fret woods ebony suits me best. From tonality to feel it's my personal favorite. Then you throw in Roscoes more or less "signature" 2 tone they like to do and then you have a looker! Lol! Congrats on your build make sure you post some pics!!

The bass was completed in August of 2007, and originally stocked by Bass Central in Orlando, FL.

Glad to hear it. Shipping a bass can be intimidating at first but, after doing it a couple of times it's really a non event.

BTW, that bass is bad ass.

Tried the DR Sunbeams that a lot of you guys prefer with the Bart/Bart combination. Liking them a lot. Got a couple of comments that I vibrated the church a lot this morning...heh, heh, heh!!!

That's what bass is supposed to do and as a member in good standing of the GOF club, I'm not going to take any crap from some 70 year olds.

This one just celebrated it's 2nd birthday!

..... and anyone that's followed my revolving door bass dealings knows that's quite an accomplishment!

Of course Queen Koa is quite special!

Well did my first gig with my new (to me) Pale Moon Century. Man did this bass sound fat! And very punchy too. The previous owner swapped out the stock Bartolini preamp with an Aguilar OBP-2. Think it was a good move. This Century is a 2010 model, which the neck is a bit chunkier then my other two Century basses. It feels closer to my '72 Jazz. So this is Roscoe #3 for me!

I will have to A-B it with my other fretted Century which has an Aguilar PJ setup and an Aguilar OBP-1 preamp.
