Roscoe Club

I like them as good as any pickup I've played. They really shine in a full band mix. The best tone I've ever had was with my new Centrury Custom this past weekend with the DCB's and OBP-3 preamp. My next favorite is the Nordstrand DC'5 pups.

I think they sound great also.

Here is my Koa Century with Aguilar electronics.

That is a work of art. Literarily one of the prettiest Basses I’ve ever seen.

Well..., Thank you! That means a lot from a guy that has three beautiful Roscoes. I really like your Cocobolo, but they didn't have any Cocobobo wood when I ordered this. I fell in love with this piece of Koa, and have no regrets. Really glad you like and enjoy your new basses.

Alright Roscoe Heads I'm torn on what to use in my Cocobolo bass with Ash body. I either want to use Aguilar DCB pups, Nordstrand DC5, or Aguilar Super Doubles. The preamp is Aguilar OBP-3 and I like it. What would be the best pickup to pair int his bass. I have My other Century with Aggie DCB and love them but kind of want something a little different. What do you guys think?

I'd go with...Barts!

Otherwise, figure out exactly what you hope to change by not using the stock pickups and go from there.

Guys mind if I share some Roscoe in action stuff? Cause I'm gonna, like it or not :D

Bonus for me, my kid sang backup all night!

Great bass tone and playing and a really tight band Jon! Enjoyed that. I miss the days when everyone was posting recordings and videos.:)

And, it just so happens that I recorded an original soundtrack yesterday (to send to Campbems) to let him hear the tone of a Roscoe with mahogany body and Bart/Bart combo. This bass has tones of growl too. I think the really thick Bosse top contributes to that (African wood). The main bass part is the Roscoe. I used a XXXXXX 6 for the chordal and melody lines.
As usual, it sounds best with head phones.

Thanks guys! These basses just inspire me to no end, and are so easy to play, they just get out of the way. That red SKB wasn't supposed to be my main bass, but it's turning quickly into my go-to. Versatile, light weight, looks for days, and just fun!
