Speaking of Waffles, I ate there twice yesterday. And didn’t even order a waffle (but my wife did).
Back on topic, I played the Roscoe fretless for a couple hours this morning. Plays so sweet! I do keep feeling the lines to make sure they haven’t changed. Do you think that I developed a phobia due to the former aluminum lines continually raising up?
I also think someone’s following me!
You do know that those aluminum lines are still in there! The epoxy was just spread over the aluminum to make you think otherwise. They shall rise again!!!

Actually, I'm not so sure it is a good deal.. After all, it's missing a low B string that you can't put on it when you need it to be a 5'er. Man, back to the drawing board!
Well, speaking of Roscoe fretless, Keith just called and told me my Spanish Cedar was done and being shipped back tomorrow! I can't wait to experiment with its new voicing capabilities. I guess I'll change the strings out now, since the ones on it are the ones that came with the bass.

Yep, Plek, too! An interesting thing he said about that; he said he left the strings on it when he Plek it, which kinda erases in my mind how I thought a Plek is done.
That doesn't make since to me...How do they shave the fretboard or frets if they are on it?
IKR!! It's very possible I misunderstood him from the excitement in my head from him telling me my bass was ready!! It arrived at Roscoe only this morning!! But he said for fretless basses the Plek setup does a better reading/job when the strings are on.
Let's assume I took what he did say and added my own interpretation.
That makes since as I figured they measured the Plek with strings and tension tuned up but actually cut and done the Plek with strings off.
The Righteous Guitars in Roswell (near Atlanta) only sells guitars. I'll need to call them tomorrow to see if they also work on basses. I suspect the Plek machine wouldn't care, but maybe it might require programming for basses.
Ray, I could be wrong but it’s my understanding that every instrument Plek’d is logged into the Plek data base and can be accessed by any Plek machine via the Internet. If that’s the case they just pull up the file based on your serial number and they have a record of every adjustment made to your instrument.
