Roscoe Club

@JOME77, Thanks for the info and the drawing, of course, no instructions/drawing came with the preamp. I had to call to find out which color wire for pup went to which pup, but the guy I talked to didn't know.

Yeah, I've used up those JM pots and one was bad. I going to wait until those Demeter pots get here and try it out. The bass will play and I have been playing it, so it's not a total wash at this time, plus :woot:

IT"S NBD and I'm too busy playing it than to fool around with the Demeter preamp right now! :bassist::hyper:

It's unanimous!
Me, myself and I all agree that the TI Jazz Flats are THE flat wound strings for my Roscoe JB fretted bass! :bassist:
There's not a great deal of difference in the sound of the TI Flats verses the EB Cobalt Flats but the feel of the TI's totally won me over.! :hyper:

I think that they'll even sound better as they age too. The deader the better!
Here's a clip of just the bass and a drum track so you can hear the sound of the string a little better.

And here's a pic of her dressed up in the TI Flats.:)

Man, you are making me regret letting that one go! :woot:
Seriously, I'm glad it's working out so well for you. And I love the Fender.

Dave, that is one beautiful bass! The top is totally off the charts and the finger board blends so well with it.
That should be the poster child of the headless bass for Roscoe!

I'd say it was a win-win situation on the trade. My only issue with the bass initially was the 19mm spacing and now that I've installed the HipShot Type A bridge I have 18mm spacing (with a slightly increased distance from the G and B to the edge of the finger board). It feels perfect!

And just in case there's any of those "why do you have 3 Roscoe basses? Isn't that redundant?"

They sound quite different to me .......
