Roscoe Club

@JOME77, Thanks for the info and the drawing, of course, no instructions/drawing came with the preamp. I had to call to find out which color wire for pup went to which pup, but the guy I talked to didn't know.

Yeah, I've used up those JM pots and one was bad. I going to wait until those Demeter pots get here and try it out. The bass will play and I have been playing it, so it's not a total wash at this time, plus :woot:

IT"S NBD and I'm too busy playing it than to fool around with the Demeter preamp right now! :bassist::hyper:

That cool looking bass is a CP Thornton! Made from torrefied woods. Swamp Ash w/Birdseye Flame Maple top. Birdseye Neck and Fingerboard, and Pickguard. Passive with Nordstrand NJ5SV pups.
I never knew a passive bass could have so much character!!

I love my Roscoe basses, but this CP Thornton, well it really rocks!

I forget to put up a picture of my new Roscoe LG Custom which I receive a few weeks ago. It’s a 33” Scale and Keith did some extra work to it to keep it as compact as possible like making the neck pocket a little deeper down in to the body and then making the lower cut out a little deeper too.

Very classy looking bass with the solid ash and the spalted fingerboard. The finger board totally completes the look of the bass. Great choice!
How's the 33" scale sound and feel to you? I've played a 32" scale Roscoe and was pleasantly surprised at how well the low B sounded.

Ya the B string is great on it. I’ve played a few 33” scale Roscoes and they’ve all been very good, better than some other brands I’ve had with 35” scale!

It's unanimous!
Me, myself and I all agree that the TI Jazz Flats are THE flat wound strings for my Roscoe JB fretted bass! :bassist:
There's not a great deal of difference in the sound of the TI Flats verses the EB Cobalt Flats but the feel of the TI's totally won me over.! :hyper:

I think that they'll even sound better as they age too. The deader the better!
Here's a clip of just the bass and a drum track so you can hear the sound of the string a little better.

And here's a pic of her dressed up in the TI Flats.:)
