Roscoe Club

I was the first to ask for an all Wenge neck years ago and Keith was happy to oblige. This is my second Roscoe with an all Wenge neck...

All the wenge...

My understanding too is that it is difficult to work with and even dangerous (splinters can cause sepsis and dust is an irritant). But it does sound good...

All true. It's GREAT stuff, but be careful. Depending on the circumstances it can be brittle and Wenge can make splinters like porcupine quills.

Having serious thoughts about not selling this Roscoe especially after seeing the matching knobs Devin Made for it. Bass is seriously one of the best sounding basses I’ve had in my hands. D-Cline is the best at making knobs.

Man, I've seen you post a lot about a LOT of different new basses. I always hold back from ribbing you because I did the same for too many years. We all have our reasons. I now have some beautiful basses, and I'm very happy to say that I spend far more time practicing music than worrying about what I play. I wondered for a long time if I could even make the switch in my head. Have fun, brother. It really is a lot of fun.....but in the end you've had many multiple UNREAL basses that most people dream about. Play the s#@t out of what you have. It becomes even more special when you create a bond with an instrument over a period of time. That's something truly special. I say this with kindness because I see myself in your posts.

So I am getting really tired of lugging around the SWR brick I have (and it's getting tired and to the point where it needs some $$ spent on it to keep it going- and I'm not sure it worth it) and associated Eden cabs. I'm thinking about the class D jump-

Thinking about jumping to the Aguilar Tonehammer, or even the Epifani Piccolo- anyone have any experience in how well they reproduce the growl and low end of Roscoe basses?

I was going to go with GK, as I enjoy my Plex- but I got my hands on a couple of GK cabs to try out and they seemed... thinnish and they needed a ton of high mids cut and a bit too much bass boost. They're maybe good if I've playing with a pick and playing distorted a lot, but alas- that's just not my style.

I can’t speak highly enough for the Genzler heads and Array cabs with the Roscoe basses or anything for that matter. I have 2 of the 350 heads and 4 of the 10-2 Array cabs. I keep 1 setup at the church i play at full time and one at the house to travel with. It is lightweight and powerful and handles anything you throw at it. I’ve had the Ampeg tube amps and cabs and I miss nothing. Can pack my bass and amp in one lightweight trip lol.
