Yeah, the lightweight modular version would be the HDN210 over the HDN112.Bergantino now does the modular 322- a 210 and a 112. They even made their reference series in that configuration

Just a little clarification on those tapered/exposed core strings. The Labella strings are exposed core, where the core is fully exposed on every string in the set. Sadowsky makes a tapered string set. It’s available with the 5 string set. And only the B string is tapered. The winding tapers down about 2 to 3 inches from the ball end, but doesn't expose the core completely.
I'm a HUGE Aguilar fan. The TH is more vintage sounding and wonderful, but I'd suggest the AG700. It'll give you everything that you want to hear from your bass, but will be warm (not sterile) and have a huge sound.
That's a nice amp- sounds good flat, and you'd REALLY have to try to make it sound bad. Good eq points and the magic buttons are simple and effective but don't eff up a good thing. I know some people like to mix and match, but I've found Aguilar amps go very well with Aguilar cabs (almost like they were designed that wayI just picked up an AG 700 from a TB'er locally. You are spot on with your description.
He had an SL410x paired with it. I've been a fan of 2x12s for a while and thought that is where I would go, but I'd be lying if I didn't say that cab sounded really really good with this head.

Has the body been routed for pickups yet? I met a guy who may be interested in a Roscoe 5 string PJ.
I'm thinking seriously about not going through with the Buckeye Roscoe I started that should be finished in 4-5 weeks. I would be willing to lose quite a bit of money if someone would be interested in taking it over. It is a $3800 build and has everything the Customs has except the carving and Bridge. This will be a SKB3005 Standard Plus.
Exhibition Buckeye Burl Top and Matching headstock- $800 upcharge
Bass and headstock will have Full Gloss finish--$300 upcharge
Mahogany Body
Maple Wenge Maple neck- Upcharge
Diamond wood Nut-$75 upcharge
Quad Bart Electronics-$100 extra
Deluxe Roscoe Gigbag
I would be willing to let it go for $3250 shipped to the buyer that's interested. I love the top better than my used Roscoe but it would be hard to find one that plays and sounds better. Plus It's not moving like I'd hoped. If anyone is interested in a killer build that should be finished rather quickly message me and lets talk.

I can't believe how good that bass sounds and plays. The LG body style is growing on me and the wood knobs made this bass around 8.3 pounds. Very lightweight.Looks like Creamy Caramel!
That is an incredible looking bass!Knobs look good on this beauty.

So glad you dig it. Definitely my favorite light weight amp. My favorite heavy amp is the DB750/751... Aguilar is the best.I just picked up an AG 700 from a TB'er locally. You are spot on with your description.

They say timing is everything. If you had put this up for sale before I placed my custom order, I would have quickly snatched it up. I can't even offer my Roscoe Classic 5JJ for trade. I'm still in the honeymoon phase. C'est la vie. I say let's be grateful for the awful/wonderful situation we're in.Knobs look good on this beauty.

I’ve got a friend taking over the Buckeye build so this beauty isn’t going anywhere. The only thing the Buckeye had was body shape and a prettier top. This is one of the best basses I’ve played.

Yeah. It's only money.I still think you should convince your buddy to go full custom and let Kyle loose to carve on that top!
