Roscoe Club

OK, I need to take a step back and tell all you new guys that you don't have to buy the Custom Signature neck to get the Roscoe sound. I bought my first Roscoe back in '92. And it's still the best bass I ever played.

Edit: I was playing a gig at Underground Atlanta in the mid 90s. It was February and snowing heavily. We weren't going home that night. But we had a good crowd. And a dude came up to me and told me I had the best bass sound he's ever heard. I knew that too. Those Bart/Bart electronics were the bomb. That was my first Roscoe. 4 string.

I love you boys. You know what I've learned after all these years? Save your money. Buy a used Roscoe.:roflmao::thumbsup:
When it comes time for me to get a Roscoe, that is my plan. All the ones I really like seem to hover +/- the $2000 mark. For that exceptional price, my plan will be to: 1) contact Keith as I've been following their Facebook page for awhile and I notice they Plek/restore instruments quite often, 2) When I buy, I'll instruct the seller to ship it to Roscoe, and 3) Keith will bring it up to the specs it left his shop and he'll ship directly to me.

Is that a maple tone block? Pretty cool...

Yup, the center block of the body is solid flamed maple with ash wings and topped with flamed maple as well.
The pickups are the Bart "J" style hum buckers with the Bart preamp.
These pics are fresh from Roscoe. It should ship with its fretted partner (pics pending) on Wednesday.
I should have them both early next week.

Everything about these two basses turned out far better than I could have imagined. From the stain and figuring on both bodies, to the crazy figure in the diamond wood fretless board, to the grain of the Pau Ferro, to the detail in the diamond wood nuts. Everything about these basses just oozes master craftsmanship, quality and attention to detail.
