Hey e'rebody!!
I recently acquired my first Roscoe, a Vintage White SKB3006, #5055. I called Roscoe to get the info on it, swamp ash body, standard maple/wenge 3 piece neck, maple fretboard. Looks like the standard Roscoe Barts and Bart preamp. It was sitting in a gig bag for about a year before I got it, so I plan to set it up to my liking. Overall, I'm happy with how it sounds through my rig,
Eden WT800c through a Glasstone Lil G (2x12). Happy to be a part of the family (I feel like I married in since the bass isn't brand new lol).
The neck on is wider and more flat than my Cirrus 6er, and from looking I think the string spacing is on the plus side of 18mm at the bridge, so it's gonna take some getting used too. I'm really digging the resonance of the ash body....I did an impromptu kitchen performance for my family, and it was loud enough for them to dance to!
I have a question: How can I tell if my pups are wired series or parallel? I ask because it's my understanding that there is a noticeable volume drop when switching between humbucker and single coil mode when the pups are wired in series, and that's what I'm noticing when I hit the switch on the Roscoe. I'm going to check Bartolini's wiring diagrams to educate myself, I was just wondering if there was a quick answer while I'm at work. Thanks in advnace!
Okay, it's not real if there aren't pics right
