Any string recommendations for a Roscoe with Nordstrand Big Splits? I ordered a set of Dunlop Super Bright Nickels, but the set they sent was messed up (an extra A string, missing a C string). Now I'm stringless until Dunlop can get a new set to me. I bought these to try Dunlops out, but it's left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm curious what other sets you could suggest.

It happens. I waited and someone bought that P bass at Rocket. I just bough back my old fretless so it’s ok. My fretted/fretless pair work just fine.

It’s worth the wait. I haven’t found a more perfect string than Super Bright Nickels.

Killing some Christmas morning time prior to the kids and G-Kids arriving and I see this wonderful warm picture of a Christmas tree and 3 (wise-man) Roscoe's!
Now that's what I want under my tree! .....

(Not to mention the Roscoe Classic and a couple Fender style basses in the background).

The pickups are Bartolini, preamp is Bartolini NTMB.

They sound really different in a good way than the sound I’ve gotten from barts in the past. Are they Roscoe special barts?

I’m really new to Roscoe, so I’m not sure other than maybe looking a build sheet. Your fretless century sounds good too, is that also the Barts?

Roscoe fretless Bart’s is a lethal combo. That’s what I have and no one has ever not loved my bass.

Yes, Barts.

The Roscoe Barts are quad coil instead of dual coil. Probably some indication in the wiring from the pickups that you can tell.

As far as I know they don’t build a bass unless there’s a buyer or it’s going to a dealer. No showroom.
