Roscoe Club

What do you think about Wenge knobs with Koa caps? The fingerboard is wenge so that would tie the fingerboard and knobs together.

Just like the ones that I had made for one of my former LG-3005's ......

Found this SKB 5er on the rack at guitar center. It was out of tune so wasn’t able to tune it and plug it in. No strap but if it’s 35” it’s not terrible stretch can’t predict how it balances. Neck profile is nice and comfy, don’t know nut width or string spacing but was wider than I expected. This thing is crazy light. Feels lighter than my 4 string p bass. Bartolini soap bars, not sure if they are CB or Roscoe barts. Not sure of the top (spalt maple?) or body material, the back is very dark wood with buckle rash by the batter compartment. It’s not on their website but if anyone is looking for an SKB like this.

I've seen that one before. Should be a 35" scale, Roscoe Bart pickups, Bart 3-band (maybe Aguilar OBP-3 though), Spalted Maple top, Spanish Cedar body (during the era that Keith stained the Spanish Cedar bodies a deep cherry; from just from looking at the edges in your limited pics).
Sweet looking bass!

That sounds like you are right, was it a bass from a TB'er? I don't know how to tell if it was made for a dealer or a direct customer.
I already have something nice on its way to me, so I resisted the urge to impulse buy it. I plan to pass by and spend more time with it. It's serial is between 5000-5100 if that gives an approx birthdate. The biggest thing that jumped out at me is how crazy light it was. As a 5'er, I was expecting a boat anchor but it's a feather. I'm sure my back or anyone's back would be a fan doing a show it. I don't know how to describe the neck's contour but it was super comfy, much better in my hands than some other expensive basses I've played lately. ;). I wanted to share it with the thread in case someone here would like it.

I could be wrong but I believe that it spent some time at The Bass Palace.

So I checked the video out on "You Tube" and found that the other bass player is Maurice Fitzgerald. Crap! He's of the chains! I think that I enjoyed him even more than Michael Mason! The entire band is top notch though.
I was checking him out too!! His tone is in the cellar!! He’s an awesome player!! The drummer is pretty solid as well, But like you said that band is top notch!!

Dang! Awesome Bernard! Those guys sound great and that Roscoe sounds awesome!

How are you Bro? I'm still enjoying that Roscoe that you traded me.
Best trade that I've ever made (from a stand-point that it stopped the merry-go-round)!
Hey Joe.
I don’t post much but I’m here in the Roscoe Club everyday! All is well here. I agree that Roscoe is special. I’m in a similar situation with my side of our deal. I’m pretty much set bass-wise, now. But there will be a special Roscoe in my collection down the road. Yeah, Michael Manson and Maurice Fitzgerald are Chicago bass legends, starting in church bands now 1st call session cats and solo artists.
