Roscoe Club

Actually it is and I have one with black metal knobs if you’re interested.

Also you could swap the blend pot then...

I didn't realize that they made several different models of concentric pots (as well as Blend) with a DPDT P/P SW built in. It looks like they require a different set of stacked knobs than I have on my Roscoe (and purchased for this job).
I may just go with the passive tone add and call it a day. The Roscoe Barts are fairly low output passive anyway.

Any passive output is going to be a lot less than the active. I've owned basses with Bart, Nordstrand and Aguilar with the Passive tone control and they all are considerably less.

If this isn't something you'd need to change mid-gig, i think I'd just put a small slide switch in the control cavity and be done

After years of stalking this forum, I finally had the chance to purchase a used skb3006. This bass is awesome but does need some work as the frets feel like they need work. Long story short someone who owned a guitar shop acquired it from a woman who’s husband had passed and was selling it cheap. It seems like it has had the tuners and bridge replaced. I plan on contacting roscoe to try and get more info on it soon. Just very excited to finally own one!

Love the traditional finish. That actually looks like original Wilkinson bridge Keith used in the nineties.
It probably has the scarf joint at headstock/neck.

Yeah the bridge is probably original. I'd definitely replace it with a Babicz if they make a 6 string version. I say Babicz because they have the same footprint as the Wilkinsons.

The tuners are Sperzel locking tuners, not sure if they are original or not but the strings are installed wrong. There should never be a wrap with Sperzel tuners, as that defeats the purpose. Stick the string through the hole, pull tight, tighten the lock, tune up which should be about 1/4 turn, cut excess string off.

Looks like Babicz does not make a 6 string bridge, so maybe just go on whatever Keith recommends. I'd replace it though, those Wilkinsons are junk.

Tuners should be fine if they work good. They are good tuners.

Keith will probably recommend a Plek job for the frets.

@Victor Payton-Webber : Welcome to the Roscoe thread, and congratulations on your beautiful new bass. Enjoy playing it as it sits for now. If you find it worthy of further investment, send it back to Roscoe Guitars for their evaluation and recommendations. They are great with customer service and reasonable in their ideas, estimates, and rates. Savor, savor!

If I had a bass where my intention would be to change the bridge, I think I’d go all out and replace it with a Kahler tremolo.

I hate to be the guy to tell you, Victor. But Roscoe basses are extremely addictive. Their 6-string basses are particularly so. Be careful young man. ;)

Love that tobacco burst type finish.

@Victor Payton-Webber, my first Roscoe was an SKB 5'er with a finish just like that one!! Seeing yours brought back memories of it, but I sold it :sorry: .... and bought more Roscoe basses!!!
Beware of the Roscoe curse!!! :woot:

I know, as soon as I played it already knew that I was in trouble. A friend of mine let me borrow his skb 3007 for a week that has me still wanting a 7 string now
