Roscoe Club

Steve, if you want to try the P-Bass thing out just to see how it sounds(and compliment the terrific Roscoe you own), I would pick up one of the Squier Classic Vibe 60's Precisions. They aren't at all expensive and they really do nail that P-Bass tone. The pickups are already Duncan Designed and the hardware doesn't need to be upgraded. Personally I don't find that dark Pino style tone to work all that well in Praise and Worship styles(I've tried it a few times). Seems like the clarity of soap bar pickups really sounds perfect in those mixes IME.

The P bass thing comes from Bruno Mars videos and stuff with Pino. And yes, the soaps are great for church. I think I just need to try the front pickup and some tone knob noodling for my "P" bass fix.

I need to get a new MacBook for home anyway.

Here's a 30 inch roscoe. I've heard this one came out pretty good for a 30. It was a $300 upgrade.

Have posted previously, but two more early examples of two 32" scales which Keith made for me in the late '90s:

Both midi equipped with RMC systems:

Although, Jesse Reeves (bass player with Chris Tomlin - the king of CCM) uses passive 4 string P and J basses all the time.

Do you think he gets them for free? They look old, as does his Ampeg - at least from his video talking about his gear.

I don't know. I love my Roscoe, but sometimes I think there must be a reason people use those other basses. Simplicity, practically, modibility. I don't know.
