Roscoe Club

OK - so I know some more things that won't fit...
So I'll assume 9/16" (!) was a typo...
Since 4mm is a little too big, I expect we're looking in the 3/16" range.
But I wasn't sure if it was US or metric so I wasn't even sure which drawer to be looking through.

Ha that's what I get for trying to help lol

I just looked at it, it says 9/64, my bad......

Mine is a Husky, there was another recommended company, but I'll have to find the post that gives the name.

Hope that helps :-)

I called the Demeter guy a while ago about putting the same Demeter/Roscoe preamp in a different bass....he told me his preamp was basically a copy of the Bart NTMB. Is it actually different?

lol

I'll echo Clint's comments on this one.
About the only thing that the Demeter and Bart NTMB preamps have in common is that they are both 3-band preamps.

Other than that it's apples and oranges!:)

That is a 'rest of your life' instrument! Enjoy it!

We'll, my wife would say there is no such thing, but we'll see how it goes.

Speaking of destiny or fate, the 6 string I had built and used for my lesson with Jimmy Haslip at the Roscoe GTG in Greensboro last summer popped up for sale. I've debated buying that back as we'll. Have both my custom builds under one roof.

Do this, then stop reading Talkbass and just play some music :p ;)

I was never truly happy until I had a Roscoe back in the fold. A custom build is the cherry on top. If you sell it, just a matter of time til you want /get another. During my Roscoeless years the average used price went up $500-$700 dollars, just saying...

We'll, looks like my old 6 was sold today. Doesn't show up on the search any longer, so I guess I won't be buying that back. Must not have been meant to be I guess. And I suppose if I'm really honest with myself, I'm a 5 string guy anyway.

True.

Honestly, I didn't/don't need a 6 and with the exception of a couple tunes, I can do many of the Yellowjackets tunes I like. Have to take a couple things down an octave but still, the general gist is there.

I'd like to experiment with a P bass, but honestly, I just don't like the look or feel if anything except Roscoe. Spoiled, Kool-Aid drinker, whatever, there just isn't a better looking, playing or sounding bass. Something like a Century with the P/J Aguilar electronics would be a great alternative I guess.

Steve, I found the perfect bass for you. It's a Century Standard 5 Plus that some guy was selling here last week to pay off some bills. ;)
