My preferred string for the last 2 years has been DR Pure Blues. They are alot more money per set but to me they are worth it.

Someone asked to see a wenge neck. Keith gave me exactly what I wanted. A wenge wedge neck. And on top, a wenge fingerboard. Ahhhhhh. Heaven!

Thanks, Ray. I also wanted an ash body (and Keith had a beautiful slab for a solid one piece body). Then I requested a Root Beer custom color. And sure 'nuff, Keith mixed the perfect color. Thanks, Keith!

I like Pure Blues too. But why did you buy a bunch of Roscoe sets?

There was a option Keith couldn’t do and offered me strings to cover the cost of the option not received.

I don’t know if I’m getting lazy and just don’t want to pack a amp or if technology hasn’t gotten so good that a simple pedalboard will do lol. Anyways, this simple setup has sure made life easier for me.

How does it sound?

I absolutely love the sound. Growly! This is a very modern tone that comes with the Roscoe Bart electronics. IMHO, tight, full bodied, plenty of tight lows, slightly scooped and compressed mids, tamed highs mostly due to the Bart pre. I can listen to this baby all day long! Thanks for asking.

It's all good! All I meant was that I'm not let'n my Custom order Roscoe go any time soon.

My first Roscoe was a 5 string -Aguilar PJ bass. It was what sold me on Roscoe basses. Very good sounding pickups and diverse in tone.

Email sent to Roscoe to discuss some options, I especially like Bassworship1's recent basses so that's probably going to help my budget.
