I'm really lucky to have this bass. It has an even, controlled growl all over the fingerboard (which is diamondwood).

Even on a cellphone speaker, that sounds great.
@SteveC is right- there is no finer bass than a fretless Roscoe.

Sounds as good as the fretless. Love my pair of Roscoe fretted and fretless 5's and the Classic P tossed in for good measure.
of the three SKB 3005’s I have the Custom Ash body Box Elder is my lightest at 8.4 lbs. The Custom Ash body with flame maple is 9.1 and my Signature 3005 is thicker in general as it’s got a Mango top then Bubinga laminate then Spanish Cedar center with Matching Mango back and it weighs 9.6 lbs . They all sound a bit different but the lightest one of ash and box elder has the more compressed but sizzle that’s this side of MTDs. All have Bart Bart set up.

Yeah, this whole hoe school thing for large ensemble music classes doesn't really work. I have some "stuff" for them to do to satisfy DPI, but there won't be a lot of "learning/progress" made by most. This isn't distance or online learning. It's emergency learning during a national emergency.

I shipped a Wing Bass (smaller than a normal bass guitar) to Japan, through another tb’er using this service. Not sure if they’ll do Canada to Europe, but might be worth a check- they took care of all the customs paperwork, and even arranged for FedEx to come to the house and pick it up. I want to say it got delivered in less than a week too.

Yes, remote learning (remote teaching) is on for me. 600+ kiddos, K-5th grade music classes, a 118-student choir, and I'm trying really hard to link up to the activities we were just doing, looking at the material I had already planned, and modifying it. The performance-based stuff (like @SteveC was saying) is super tough to modify for remote learning. I'm having my kids listen to choirs (on good headphones) and asking about the emotion in the music...that's just one way I can think of to get that 'whole-ensemble-emotional-music-magic' that we all love.
One last example: one of the songs I had a whole singing-and-movement lesson planned around for 1st graders was 'Molly Malone', which I would have started right when school was called around St. Patrick's day. Unfortunately, the third verse of that song states, "She died of a fever, and no one could save her, and that was the end of poor Molly Malone...". So, out of an abundance of sensitivity, I took out the third verse.

Man! You guys really have a tough job. I'm sure that it's challenging when things are normal and you're in the classroom but doing it remote has got to be so difficult and time consuming.
I put educators right up there with health care workers in everything that's going on now.

I'm thinking of adding a string tree for the A string on my Classic. Yeah I cut the string too short and only have two wraps so it rattles like a '74 Pinto and sounds even worse. I don't want to be a victim of this again, so I may add a string tree for the A string.
I have a Hipshot 2 way and a Hipshot 3 way. The original plan was to remove the stock tree and replace it with the 3 way which would cover the hole from the original. But seeing how it would look I don't like it. Too close to the logo and too close to the E string tuner. So I got the 2 way and I think it will look better.
Here are my 3 options:
1) 2 way on A string only.
2) 2 way on A and D (probably would not even touch the D string)
3) 3 way on A,D,G.
Seeing them now I know which one I like, but open for thoughts an other ideas!

I think I vote for choice 2 for looks. Although, if it were me, I'd also consider cutting my losses (no pun intended) and just get a new set of strings, hoping to never short the A again.
I hope I didn't come off as a whiner or anything in my post. I know we all have life situations that are tough in their own way. Maybe just a little venting on my part. I do think all of our kids (or kid's kids as the case may be) are a very precious gift to take care of, and I'm glad to play a role in that!

I'd get strings instead of adding weight and holes to my headstock. Or go number 2.
It's OK to vent. Teaching kids online, having kids home while you try to work or even "just" teach them is an IMPOSSIBLE task. This isn't distance learning, it's emergency learning and I think we are focusing on the wrong things right now. The 8 weeks we'd "lose" is 2% of their K-12 education time.
