Roscoe Club

Almost 25 years, between Army and Air Force

The knobs are dry enough to install them. My OCD remained dormant, so all is good! I did use a little wood stain that I had to help get rid of that greenish hue, then added a couple of light coats of Tru-Oil and buffed them with an auto buffer. IJR! If I feel the need to darken them more, it's easier with just the Tru-Oil.

Looks much better and another coat or 2 would make them match perfectly.

4 years active duty Air Force during Vietnam, Tahkli with F-111s. 34 more years civilian at Hill AFB. Air Force been berry berry gud to me!

Almost 25 years, between Army and Air Force

I just left the Active Duty Marine Corps after 11 years, and now I'm in the Michigan Air National Guard.

You guys had it right the first time- though I suppose the hardest part about the transition is that I can't find the crayons to snack on anymore.

I have to admit the military has its way of latching on to you and spoiling you just enough for you to not want to leave it, or stray too far away! Fond memories I have from my time in, especially my tour in Thailand!

Speaking of LGs...

I've been quietly back in the club now for a couple of weeks. I made a good deal and purchased this knowing I probably would not keep it. I'm sure I can get what I paid for it down the road. I've owned the other 2 body styles but knew the LG was my favorite visually but never really played one for an extended time to see how it feels and hangs. Now I know for sure and will order one to my specs in the fall. I'm hoping to combine what I've learned from all of these and combine in one that will be a keeper.

My 1st. One of the 1st generation standards. This thing weighed 7 lbs!

My second. An early Century originally owned by Mo at Nordstrand. An amazing bass with 19mm spacing, an ebony board, Demeter preamp and coil switching. I sold it back to him. This monster was the heaviest bass I ever owned at around 11 lbs.

My 3rd (you're welcome, Joe!). I don't think I need to add any comments about this one.

Could anyone who had a recent build tell me if there was a discount since you could order direct? You can reply by PM if you like. I plan on calling Keith soon to spec one out but I know they're really busy now and did not want to bother them till I'm ready to put cash on the table.

Great to see that you're officially a Roscoehead AGAIN (I jumped the gun last time you posted a pic!). :)

And yes, Thank you Bernard!:D
