I have some Tru-Oil (Gun Stock Finish), but the knobs were glossed over, so I don't know if the oil will penetrate into the wood.

The aging of the Roscoe has turned the Burl a darker brown and the knobs are probably from much younger wood and it has like a greenish hue.

Yeah, that would bug me too Ray. The buckeye in your top is much more brown based while the buckeye in your knobs do have much more green to them. Both very nice looking but quite different.
Not sure what happened but I used to love the custom knobs but I really seem to prefer the black metal dome knobs these days.

When you have a figured top like Buckeye you just about have to have scraps out of the build to get them right. It's to hard to match without it.

Well, it was a crap shoot on the Burl knobs to match the bass. :nailbiting: I needed a stock stacked set for my Roscoe Koa with the Nordstrand Vol/Vol to get rid of that tension with the chrome set, so that was a win. :)

At this point those black stock knobs would look better on the Burl than the new ones.

Oh trust me Ray. That buckeye burl Roscoe would look killer with skull head knobs. The top looks so nice that I’d have never seen the knobs if you hadn’t mentioned them.:)
