Roscoe Club

Here's a couple of questions for my fellow Roscoeheads.

My LG3000 is my favorite bass. The tone is incredible. One of these days, I'm going to have another 5 or 6 made.

My old SKB3006 had similar woods but didn't sound as good as my LG. So, what is the distance b/w the pickups on the SKB and Century models? The pickups on the LG appear to be closer but the angle could be deceiving.

Also, on the different models of 5's and 6's, if you measure from inside the nut to the center of the pickup where the lowest string crosses over it (on the lowest string and the highest string), what is that measurement? Interested in the difference b/w the straight and angled pickups for these measurements.

Thanks,

Meant to answer this earlier but got busy then forgot...

OK - SKB 3006 as pictured in post #507...

Distance between pickups: 2-3/4"
-- this is the center-to-center or top-to-top - not the clear space between
Nut to center of top pickup: 30"
35" scale length (standard)

Thanks. Without doing the 35" to 34" math conversion, the neck pickup is pretty close to the traditional P pup placement. The distance b/w the pickups is a lot more than on my LG.

Yeah, I meant to get this info for you as well but had forgot.

SKB3005, 35" scale:

Distance between pickups: 1.5"
Nut to center of neck pickup: 30"
Nut to center of bridge pickup: 32.5"

I am quite a proud new owner of a Roscoe! Not a new Roscoe, but amazing nonetheless!
