Ok..... I was wrong. Have no idea what kind of strings were on my fretted 3006 but they were dead.... and they sucked.

I put the D'Addarios on it that Chuck said came on the bass from the factory and cranked the strings down to a buttery playable level and this bass is SUH WHEAT!!!!!

Gonna put EM on the fretless tomorrow.... Caint wait!

Well, E034 is back home. Still letting her warm up before I change strings and check set up. Hopefully tomorrow night.

More excited than I thought I'd be. I mean, I remember what she looked like and all, but man, to see her in person again - she's a beautiful bass.

I've got my first Roscoe incoming tomorrow courtesy of TalkBass: Century Standard Plus V

Listening to the numerous available sound clips and demo's I can already tell I'm going to be a fan of the tone, and the quilt in this bass is, well...

Just figured I would stop by and say hello. I'm looking forward to seeing how the playability compares to my US Lakland JO, which is phenomenal.

Welcome. I'm glad I don't live in the Carolina's. Being so close to the birthplace of these basses would be very dangerous for me.

Enjoy your bass. I have a pair of Century Standard Plus basses (5 and 6) and they are amazing.

Crazy Hokies ;)

LOL - we think it was the crazy salt trucks. Two of the plates had been damaged slightly by BB gun fire before we bought the building. But the third plate took a direct hit this past weekend from a high-speed rock that we suspect was flung by a salt spreading truck. We decided to fix all 3 plates while we were fixing the 1 that really needed fixing...

The joys of owning your own building! It's always something... :spit::D
